forsythia

The forsythia has bloomed! Yeah!! It looks like spring now:)

boys

Hans playing in the sandbox. We moved the swing set and the sandbox to the back of the yard and it is very nice. Now I can see it all clearly from the kitchen.

Hans in the garden. We are working on teaching him to go AROUND it, but seriously, what little boy avoids going thru dirt???

Jeremiah and Hans

Ethan and Hans

I walked on the moon . . .

Just a little proof that we were really there and saw Brian Regan live last Saturday night. It was a great show and I encourage anyone to go see him if you get the chance, or just check out his stuff at his website. I laughed so hard my stomach hurt. It was really that good!

I guess it could be any guy in a grainy picture so, in the end, it really proves nothing and you will still just have to believe us:)

rites of passage

Hans got his teeth brushed for the first time last night! He almost has a full mouth of teeth now. He has his 2 year molars already and is working on the last of his eye teeth. He is growing up!!

Easter

Easter was good. We had brunch and an excellent service at church in the morning, followed by a leisurely afternoon. We did an egg hunt with the boys after their naps and had dinner with family and friends in the evening.

Ginny brought Easter boots, hats and bubbles for the boys. Hans just loves his boots! He brings them to me and wants to have them on, and then goes clomping around the house like a little farmer!

Ethan displaying his wares.

Finding eggs

Yes, winter coats were needed, it wasn't that warm.

sorting the treasures with Aunt Earon

Hans needed extra supervision: he wanted to eat the eggs, the candy (before the wrappers were removed) and the money.

painting eggs

We dyed eggs for Easter with Ethan this weekend. It is always fun to do a project with him. It was also fun to see his increased interest, understanding and input from last year.

Ready to go

There is always something appealing and exciting about a blank "slate" and a selection of colors.

living room

Saturday Jeremiah spent the whole day painting the living room. It looks so nice!!!

Before: You can't see it so well in this photo, but all the trim in the room was deep, dark burgundy.

After!! Yeah!!

chilly days

When one lives in Western NY, spring involves cold, and even snowy days! Yeck!! SO, we must make the best of it. My little boys have grown accustomed to spending some amount of time out of doors each day and when we are all inside all day long, they get VERY antsy. So, we make use of the basement.

Hans

promise in a Dixie cup: sweet peas, zinnias, and nasturtiums starting to come up

Ethan, how can hardly take a long enough break from playing to smile for the camera

Hans exploring.

Ah, yes, it IS big enough to crawl into.

making pretzels

Ethan and Jeremiah finished the pretzel project the other night. Here is Ethan in his PJ's, all squeaky clean from his bath, helping to sort out pretzels.

focus . . Focus!

mmmm, the sweet rewards!

the news . . .

We are having a GIRL!!! All is well and the ultrasound went well.

Dancing

We watched Happy Feet the other weekend and the boys had fun dancing like the penguins:)
